Easy, Cheap, NO chemicals disinfectant.

I won't be posting a photo tutorial today, because this is just THAT easy. As I was cleaning my bathroom today i thought to myself ''Hey! Maybe everyone DOESN'T already know this!!". As I hope you are all aware, or will be after reading several of my blog posts that will be coming soon, vinegar is one amazing thing. White Distilled Vinegar = my love.

The easiest, safest to have in your house, CHEAPEST (well one of the cheapest) disinfectant sprays is one you can mix up in seconds and pay pennies for.  1/2 water 1/2 vinegar... and then love it. :) If you are not familiar with using vinegar, the smell will just go away. It does not linger. Vinegar is one amazing little liquid. Now is the time to fall in love with it if you haven't before! If you don't, you will when I'm through with you! ;)

Go buy a few bottles. I'll help you put them to use!

Fake ''Shout'' laundry stain fighter!

I am so excited to have a new homemade cleaner worth sharing here!! I just tried it out on an old stain and the stain is gone!!! I hope that you all enjoy it, and not having to pay for the name brand, as much as I do!

What you need:

Container to put it in, in my case a $1 bottle from Dollar Tree. Kitchen tools: funnel, measuring cup, and measuring spoon. Dawn, Ammonia (I grabbed lemon ammonia in a hurry and it works just fine as well) Baking Soda, and Warm tap water.

Pour 2/3 cup of Dawn, any liquid dish washing soap should work, into the bottle.

Add 2/3 cup ammonia.

Pour in 6 tablespoons of baking soda. My picture doesn't really show that (lol) but that is what is going on here! ;)

Fill with 2 cups of warm water. (and if you are messy like me, wipe up the counter!)

 Shake that baby up!!

Now for the testimonial!

THE EVIL STAIN.
This stain has been sitting for .... eh, at least a week.

Sprayed that baby down! Let sit for maybe 30 seconds.

I washed as a normal load is always washed around here, dried, and couldn't find where the stain was supposed to be. She is gone, gone, gone! We have found a working, cheap alternative to paying for name brand stain remover at the store!  Here is a picture of no stain just for fun.

ENJOY! Go save yourself some money!! Walk past the stain removers in the store smiling because YOU don't need to pay that high price anymore!!

Frugal Friday!!

So forever ago I said that I was going to get into this blog. Well.. I didn't. :) But I have decided to blog more of the "projects" that I do daily! I am going to talk about cooking, cleaning, decorating, crafting, wood working, and being CHEAP!!  I hope that someone, somewhere out there, enjoys reading my mumbo jumbo! :)

Today I am going to post a tutorial on HOMEMADE "febreeze"!

(and this is where the fun begins because i really have NO idea how to blog! :) Oh well! Here we go!!!!)

Homemade Febreeze

All you need! Any fabric Softener, Baking Soda, a 32 oz spray bottle or old febreeze bottle (mine is only 28 oz. oh well), 1/8 cup measuring cup, 1 tbsp measuring spoon, and water!

Pour 1/8 cup of fabric softener into your bottle. I was funnel-less......

and of course, i spilled a little.  :)

Apparently I'm not the best at opening boxes either. :) or making sure that my camera is focusing correctly :p Add 2 Tbsp of baking soda to your bottle.

Using the best funnel in the world. :)

Take a deep breath. The really hard stuff is over! :p

Fill bottle with hot water. If it's not from a duck butt, it just wont work.

Shake and spray away!!!

geez. That was super hard huh?! :) Now you can stop spending $5 ish on one bottle of febreeze and pay around $2 for .. um....? no idea. Just guessing at least 20 bottles!!! It takes a total of 30 seconds to make, just go do it.  now.

Here we go!

So, today is the day to start blogging! I basically have no idea what is going on yet, but I'll get there! My hopes for this blog are to use it to share my journeys in motherhood, marriage, and crafting! My life is busy, I try to do wayyy too much in too little time. So I am sure that my blog posts will be the same, scatter brained and confusing! Now I guess that I just need to figure everything out on here and dive in! :)
